Ages 11-19! Pizza, SSL, collaborative art, and paint a new tote bag to take home as we celebrate MCPL's 75th Anniversary! Earn SSL - sign up for a quick social media interview with parental signature!

Let's make you a star! Teens and tweens ages 11-19, earn SSL by signing up for a quick social media interview and make your unique voice and story a part of MCPL's once-in-a-lifetime 75th Anniversary celebration!

Join us to practice your interview skills, get a behind-the-scenes look into professional media production, and become an essential part of MCPL's journey in our celebration of 75 years of growth and equitable, free and open access to information, ideas and experiences!

You'll earn SSL quickly and conveniently! Make sure you and your parent/guardian follow the sign-up instructions to fill out our release form as well, so MCPL's social media team can interview you.

We'll reach out and meet with you at a local MCPL library branch near you, on a day that works for you - including our big pizza party on April 15!

We'll get your quick take on fun questions like...

The Soundtrack: "If MCPL had a theme song or a 'vibe' for its 75th birthday, what song would be on the playlist?"
The Life Hack: "What’s one library 'secret' or service (such as new video games or free printing!) that you think every teen in Montgomery County needs to know about?"
The 2101 Vision: "Fast forward 75 more years to the year 2101. What’s one thing you hope the library still has, even if we’re all reading books on Mars?"

Free pizza, earn SSL from a quick social media interview with your parent's signature, decorate & paint your own library tote to keep as we celebrate MCPL's 75th Anniversary at Brigadier General Charles E. McGee Library on Wednesday, April 15 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM!
Earn more SSL hours at Wednesday, April 15's big pizza party by helping make our library beautiful with collaborative art to celebrate MCPL's 75th Anniversary year!

  • Put yourself on the map! Fill our giant map of Montgomery County with your writing or drawings of important landmarks and milestones from your life and MCPL's 75 years - we'll give you plenty of groundbreaking events from MCPL history you can explore!
  • Make our Wish Tree bloom by adding your wishes for MCPL's next 75 years!
