For ages 11 and up! Special Event for Maryland STEM Festival in the large 3rd Floor Meeting Room: Discover the possibilities in the environmental field for teens, tweens & adults! Spanish speakers welcome!

Join us at Brigadier General Charles E. McGee Library from 4 PM - 6 PM. This special event on Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection and careers, internship and volunteer opportunities, with and without a college degree, will feature Ana Arriaza, Partnership & Engagement Manager at Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection.

Earn SSL by helping us with setup, designing future library programs, library program advertising & cleanup/takedown! Enjoy snacks!

The Maryland STEM Festival is a month-long celebration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics designed to advance STEM and STEAM education for children and teens that takes place every fall.

Looking for more things to do at MCPL?

Teens & tweens, join us Wednesday, November 18 from 4 PM - 6 PM in McGee Library's large 3rd Floor Meeting Room and for a fun and relaxing time painting what you want while enjoying snacks and a laid-back atmosphere at our teen dino painting party! For ages 11-19! SSL opportunity & enjoy snacks - no registration! We will provide a variety of supplies, just bring your imagination!  Be dressed appropriately to get messy with glue, acrylic paint, or fabric paint. In addition to cardstock, markers and colored pencils, we'll also have tempera paint, glue, feathers, gems, sequins, buttons, ribbons, and pompoms for you to go wild for Dino-vember!

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
