Finished the Summer Reading Challenge 2026 at Kensington Park Library or started a new school year near us? Join us for fun and games as well as learn the science behind making ice cream!

Finished the Summer Reading Challenge 2026 at Kensington Park Library or started a new school year near us? Join us to celebrate your accomplishment and/or your new school year! A special guest from Bruster's Ice Cream will demonstrate the science of how to make ice cream in our meeting room and we'll have a sweet treat. Afterward enjoy lawn games, bubbles, and make chalk drawings on our paved walkway in our garden.

Please bring a blanket or towel to sit on for outside.

If there is inclement weather, the air quality is code red, or there is a heat emergency alert, the party will be moved entirely indoors.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
