What might building a city on Mars look like? Join us for a visual presentation from NASA Solar Ambassador Dr. Cailtin Ahrens to find out! Get a chance to touch a "semi-real" Mars brick and a Mars meteorite. Imagine what your own Mars city would look like and draw it. For ages 5-10.
Dr. Caitlin Ahrens is a graduate of West Virginia University with bachelor of science degrees in Geology and Physics with an emphasis in Astrophysics. She also holds a patent in earthquake sciences. Dr. Ahrens attended the graduate program in Space and Planetary Science at the University of Arkansas and received her PhD in May 2020 with her research on ices on Pluto.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
