Register for an appointment online at www.redcrossblood.org and enter Sponsor ID: GaithersburgPublicLibrary in the search bar at the top right-hand corner or call 1-800-733-2767 to schedule your life-saving donation!

Eligibility concerns? Visit the Red Cross website or call 1-866-236-3276.

Blood types O-, O+, A-, B- are encouraged to make a POWER RED donation. This type of donation doubles the impact you make to those needing blood!

Please remember to:

• Bring a photo ID (driver's license/permit, passport, Red Cross blood donor app).
• Eat foods that are high in iron and vitamin C at least one week before your scheduled appointment.
• Drink lots of water before your appointment.

By joining this MCPL program, you agree to abide by our rules of conduct. Library staff has the authority to remove you from this program if we deem your behavior to be inappropriate, to ensure the safety of staff and customers.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager at 240-777-0002 with all other accommodation requests.
