Sew Sustainable: DIY Travel Pouches & Cozy Hand Warmers

For Teens

Drop in and learn to use a sewing machine with a simple project and recycled materials.

Join us for a hands-on sewing workshop designed just for teens! Learn how to turn recycled fabrics into practical and eco-friendly creations. In this session, you’ll make your own travel silverware pouch—perfect for reducing single-use plastics on the go—and/or cozy hand warmers to keep you comfortable during chilly days. No prior sewing experience needed; we’ll provide all the materials and guidance you need.

This program is intended for teens age 12-17

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. 

If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
