Plein Air painters will set up around the library grounds and younger folks and non-painters will attend a guided fall tree painting in our meeting room.
We will welcome in the fall colors with a morning of painting. This is a intergenerational event for ages 12 and up featuring two FALL COLOR PAINTING options.
**Option 1 - Plein Air participants: Soak in the natural light, air, colors and textures around you as you paint in the open air (plein air) of the library garden or surrounding areas. The trees and bushes radiate beautiful colors in the fall. You have three hours - 10:30-1:30 pm. What to bring: Paints, substrate, easel, stool, water, sunscreen, and a hat. Dress for the weather. Registration is required.
**Option 2 - Paint and Sip: Ages 12 and up can join us in the meeting room for a guided painting session. Work with your parents and grandparents to paint a tree with colors of the fall. All skill levels are welcome and no experience in art is necessary; you will see how easy and fun it is using simple methods to create a work of art. Refreshments and all supplies will be provided. This program will only last one hour - 10:30-11:30 am.
****FALL COLOR ART CONTEST: You can use your creations from this event to enter our yearly Fall Color Art Contest. This year it will include photos and paintings with the fall color theme. Submissions for the contest will be accepted November 17-30.***
