Begin with a fun salsa dance lesson. Stay for the rhythmic tunes of Grupo Fenix, a collective of musicians focused on preserving and promoting music from Mexican and Latin American cultures.
Begin today's celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month with award-winning Latin dancer, Maritza Rivera. She will teach a contagious and fun salsa dance lesson at 1:00 pm.
Then jump into the fun at 2:00 pm with the live band Grupo Fenix. You can use your new-found dance skills to move to the music and get your body swaying. This special band, Grupo Fenix, is a Washington, DC-based collective of musicians focused on preserving and promoting musical genres from Mexican and Latin American cultures.
