This interactive program is for all ages and offers a fun and engaging introduction to capoeira’s rich cultural heritage.
Presented by ABADÁ-Capoeira DC, a leading organization promoting Brazilian arts and culture in the Washington, DC area since 2008, this program will showcase the art form’s history, music, and movements—along with an invitation to try out a few moves yourself!

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
