Creek Critters is a drop-in, hands-on program where guests of all ages can explore live aquatic bugs—also known as macroinvertebrates—and discover how these tiny critters help scientists assess water quality. Learn how everyday choices on land impact rivers, lakes, and streams, and take away practical tips for protecting our waterways.
Representatives from the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection will be available to answer questions and share resources on recycling, waste reduction, and other ways to support a healthier environment. No registration is required. Just stop by and explore!

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
