Stories and songs in English and Amharic. Just right for Amharic and English speakers ages 3-12 years and English speakers able to focus through portions of a longer story in another language.

Please join us for a bilingual storytime just right for Amharic and English speakers ages 3-12 years and English speakers who are old enough to focus through portions of a longer story in another language.

Stories in English and Amharic songs and rhymes too! Filled with diverse stories and activities that promote and develop language skills and imagination. This program encourages children to develop a lifelong love of reading and learning and introduce them to the culture of reading.

**Note: if you're interested in attending this program via zoom, please register and you will be sent meeting information fifteen minutes before the start of the program. Otherwise, registration is not required.**

This is a hybrid program. You can join this program in-person at McGee Library or online via Zoom. 

If you are joining this program virtually, you will need to be signed into Zoom to attend and to register at least 15 minutes before the start of the program.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend.
