Come read with our trained volunteers!
Description: Montgomery County Public Libraries is collaborating with the Jewish Council for the Aging (JCA) Heyman Interages Center, or Interages, for Read Across America Week, which this year is from March 2nd to 7th, 2025.
Join us at Brigadier General Charles E. McGee Library to celebrate a love of literacy by reading one-on-one with previously selected JCA Interages volunteers. This program is geared toward children ages from Kindergarten through third grade. Children can bring their own book or select one from the library. JCA volunteers are preselected and vetted and also trained by JCA staff in communication and intergenerational interactions. No advanced registration or appointment needed. Participants can drop-in.
