Visit with the Department of Health and Human Services to learn about starting your own neighborhood Village to provide support and social connections while aging in place.

Villages are local, volunteer-led, grassroots organizations that aim to support community members who choose to age in place. Information about Villages will be available in the lobby of the Gaithersburg Library. Find out more about what is a Village, membership, being part of a social group, and volunteer opportunities.

By joining this MCPL program, you agree to abide by our rules of conduct. Library staff has the authority to remove you from this program if we deem your behavior to be inappropriate, to ensure the safety of staff and customers.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.


Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager at 240-777-0002 with all other accommodation requests.
