What do avocado pits and onion skins have in common? Besides usually winding up in the garbage can, they can also make some colorful dyes!
Join us for this hands-on STEAM program that pairs the fun of crafts with the art of science! Tie-dye a bandana or make a watercolor painting using dyes made from all sorts of plants, including vegetables you would find right at home. Attendees are highly encouraged to wear clothing they don’t mind getting stained or a smock/apron to the event.
Parents/caregivers MUST accompany children under the age of 12 during the program.
Parents/caregivers are responsible for monitoring small children to make sure that they do not put craft supplies or display pieces in their mouths.
For children ages 3-13.
Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
