Kick off the 2024 Montgomery County Public Library Summer Reading Challenge with party activities and crafts!

Kick-off the 2024 Montgomery County Public Library Summer Reading Challenge with party activities and crafts! Join us for a regional kick-off party celebrating at Kensington Park Library with the Brigadier General Charles E. McGee Library and the Noyes Library for Young Children.

The majority of the program will be held indoors, but a few activities may be held outdoors. Outdoor programming is weather permitting. If there is inclement weather, the air quality is code red, or there is a heat emergency alert, all programming will be moved indoors.

During the event, library staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions about program, assist with sign-ups, and provide gameboards and a free book for children and teens who register. Can't make the event? Sign-up (or log in) online or at your local library starting May 15, and begin logging your reading, activities, and pick up your free book starting June 14.
