Join us to celebrate Arab-American Heritage Month with this interactive program that will introduce you to Arab and Arab-American poets, presented by local poet Layanne Khaskia. Registration required.

Attention all teens, join us for a brief discussion on the history and significance of poetry in Arab culture. A special focus will be given to story-telling and resistance poetry. We will then read, as a group, the poems of a few modern Arab and Arab-American poets. This is a time where everyone will be encouraged to share their thoughts. Poetry is meant to be shared and discussed, so we will do just that! We will end the event with a group writing activity to flex our creative muscles and craft something beautiful.
