In celebration of Earth Day, Montgomery County’s Department of Environmental Protection discusses How to Aim for Zero Waste by Mending Textiles.
As part of this workshop, participants are welcome to bring one item of clothing with rip or tear to practice visible mending techniques. All other items will be provided by the department.
Join us in learning:
The benefits of mending textiles as way to help keep our land, air and water clean.
Basic visible mending techniques that can help extend the life of your garment and save you money.
Information about additional zero waste initiatives through the department to help reduce, reuse and recycle even more in your single-family home or apartment.
We hope to see you then!
