African Drum and Dance performance by Soul in Motion Company celebrates Black History Month.
Soul in Motion Dancers and Drummers Company is a local performance troupe who have gained great prominence in the metro area and around the east coast. Their performances and are incredibly dynamic and very popular. In fact, Michael Friend, founder and artistic director, has won several prestigious awards including Montgomery County Executive's Community Award for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities and, both the Heritage Award and Creativity Award from the Maryland State Arts Council. This program is supported by the Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, MD.
They are sure to put on an entertaining and fun performance. You may even get to participate!
