Join us for a fire fighter themed family storytime! These 25-30-minute programs are designed to delight children of all ages and are filled with diverse stories and activities.

Join us for a fire fighter themed family storytime! These 25-30-minute programs are designed to delight children of all ages and are filled with diverse stories and activities that promote and develop language skills and imagination. These programs encourage children to develop a lifelong love of reading and learning and introduce them to the culture of reading.​

After storytime, stick around for a possible fire safety lesson and fire truck tour from staff at the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department! If there is an emergency in our community, this portion of the storytime will not happen.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager at 240-777-0002 with all other accommodation requests.
