Hand dance is a form of swing that involves sliding footwork and continuous hand connection. It began in the 1920's and was popular for decades. It's enjoying a revival in the DC dance scene.
Learn more at this free workshop which will start with a history of the dance style, a demonstration, and finally open dance time for participants to try it for themselves. This event is made possible through the collaboration of Aspen Hill Library and Odyssey Hand Dance Academy.
