Learn the history of lower Montgomery County's rapid growth as DC suburb -- focusing on demographics, housing & subdivisions, shopping centers, schools, parks & recreation and (of course!) libraries.
In honor of MCPL's 75th anniversary, Montgomery History speaker Bob Bachman will reveal the history of rapid development of lower Montgomery County in the 1950s as a suburb of Washington, DC. -- focusing on demographics, housing and subdivisions, shopping centers, schools, parks & recreation and (of course!) libraries. Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
