Transform your yard and garden trimmings into material that enriches the soil. Registration required - see link below. The program will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room, #132, led by MC DEP staff.

Backyard composting transforms your yard and garden trimmings, such as grass clippings, leaves, and garden prunings, into a dark, crumbly, sweet-smelling material that naturally enriches the soil! Register today to attend a Backyard Composting Workshop designed to teach you about the composting process and how to use your backyard composting bin.

Registration is free and those who register before 9/22 will receive a Backyard Composting Tool-Kit that includes a compost bin, thermometer, moisture meter, and compost turner.

Note: this workshop will only cover composting of yard and garden trimmings.

You don't need to have an MCPL card to attend, but you should get one to take advantage of our many resources, online and on our shelves. Don't have a MCPL Library card right now?  No worries!  Find out how to Get a Library Card.
