Join us for a special presentation on the intersection of art and social justice.
Dr. Alicia Y. Christy is this month’s featured artist at Kensington Park Library. She is an African-American author, illustrator, physician, and Army Veteran. The intersection of her remarkable and eclectic background has led to extraordinary achievements in using her voice to promote social justice. We welcome her for a special presentation on how she has expressed her voice for social justice through her powerful works of art. Dr. Christy will share with us her expressions on racial justice, health equity, voting rights, science and climate change, reproductive rights, and gun violence. Don't forget to check out her art work at the Kensington Park Library through the end of June. Join us for a stimulating talk live or via zoom.
