All teens are welcome to the Davis Library to assist the teen librarian and to hear a 30 minute presentation by Colin Crow, University of Maryland Admissions Counselor.
Teens garner SSL hours for participating in a Davis Library Teen Advisory Board event. At this event, University of Maryland Admissions Counselor, Colin Crow will provide an overview of UMd, including its location, academics, campus life, residence life, dining, the application process and financial aid resources.
What is a Teen Advisory Board?
TAB is a group of library teen volunteers that helps the library and the community by implementing, promoting and advocating for youth services in Montgomery County.
The Teen Advisory Board will provide feedback on programs, assist librarians with planning and running events, and will be library advocates.
You earn Student Service Learning (SSL) hours for attending TAB meetings.
The Teen Advisory Board typically meets on the fourth Thursday of every month at 3:30 pm.
How to join: Print the volunteer form from our website or ask for one at the information desk. Have your guardian sign it and bring it with you to the meeting.
