Create your original characters, caricatures, one-panel gag cartoons, and comic strips.
Experiment with pen-and-ink techniques and play around with all the elements of a cartoon: figure and background drawing, perspective, lighting, lettering, composition, and dialogue. This virtual workshop is designed for residents 50+.
Registration and attendance to all 5 sessions are required (Wednesdays, March 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29).
Space is limited to 15 participants age 50+.
Art supplies will be provided. If any participant is registered and cannot attend, please contact the Wheaton Library to cancel the registration so that individuals on the waiting list can participate.
These classes are in partnership with artist Leila Cabib and funded in part by a Wheaton Cultural Project Grant from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County.
The facilitator has requested all attendees wear masks while attending the 5-session class.
