Tap Into History: a Century of Typewriters

This Know Your County program series features a pop-up display from Montgomery History.

So why are the keys on my computer keyboard arranged like that? Have you ever used an old-fashioned typewriter? Join Montgomery History at White Oak Library to learn some fascinating facts about the history of typing, and even type a message yourself! Typewriters from the early to mid-twentieth century will be available for people of all ages to use and explore. Everyone is encouraged to type up a memory or message that can be shared. Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend.
