Local author Patricia Cuff will talk about her latest book, The Queen's Gambol: Chess and Women's Power.
The book focuses on the fascinating development of the Queen from a shapeless blob to the most powerful piece on the chess board. Ms. Cuff will discuss the concurrent rise of women's power and highlight women champion players, followed by a Q&A session and a short chess lesson.
