This event is presented by Montgomery County Public Libraries as a lead-up to the 25th Annual F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Festival.  This year's festival will be held virtually on October 30,  with other events on September 17, 24, October 21, and October 29. The theme of the 2021 Festival is “Are All Stories True?” For more information, go to https://fscottfestival.org/

"In this singular collection, John Edgar Wideman, the acclaimed author of Writing to Save a Life, blends the personal, historical, and political to invent complex, charged stories about love, death, struggle, and what we owe each other. With characters ranging from everyday Americans to Jean-Michel Basquiat to Nat Turner, American Histories is a journey through time, experience, and the soul of our country"--(Amazon, retrieved 7/24/21)
