This year for Energy Express, we focus on the theme of “Tales and Tails”. This program is intended for 6-12 years old and is limited to 40 participants.
Join us for Energy Express 2021: Tales and Tails Edition – The Department of Environmental Protection along with the P.O.W.E.R. Program will be providing an interactive Zoom presentation for students between 6-12 years old. Come find out about different dinosaur tails as we time travel to the past and future to tell the tale from fossil fuels to fuels of the future!
Participants are invited to pick up an activity kit before or after this program at one of the following libraries: Aspen Hill, Connie Morella, Damascus, Gaithersburg, Silver Spring, and Wheaton.
After the program, come visit the library where Montgomery Energy Connection will have a Lemons & LED stand set up. While they won't be handing out lemonade, you'll be able to exchange your old incandescent and compact fluorescent lightbulbs for newer, energy efficient LED ones.
