Join acupuncturist, Jane Grissmer, for a discussion of treatments for long COVID.

A significant minority of persons who have had COVID-19 experience prolonged symptoms. Long COVID, a constellation of persistent symptoms, affects COVID-19 survivors in varying ways and to varying degrees. Common complaints are weakness on exertion, increased heart rate when changing body posture from lying to sitting or standing, brain fog, dizziness, headaches, muscle pain and insomnia. The most common symptom is post-exertional malaise or chronic fatigue.

Acupuncture can be an ally of Western medicine in treating long haulers. The most important question an acupuncturist can ask when treating a long hauler is the following: What is the root and the branch of the QI deficiency? Join acupuncturist Jane Grissmer for a discussion about the power of this essential question.

Jane Grissmer is an acupuncturist with 40 years of clinical experience. She is co-founder of Crossings Healing and Wellness in Silver Spring, Maryland. Jane has served acupuncture students as former Division Chair of Theory at Maryland Institute for Integrative Health and currently as adjunct faculty. She has published articles on the topics of Chinese medicine, healing, emotions and the seasons.
