Author Holly Mason Badra will be discussing her work Sleeping in the Courtyard: Contemporary Kurdish Writers in Diaspora.

Author Holly Mason Badra will be discussing her work Sleeping in the Courtyard: Contemporary Kurdish Writers in Diaspora.

Holly Mason Badra is the Associate Director of Women and Gender Studies at George Mason University, where she advises the Kurdish Student Organization. Her work Sleeping in the Courtyard includes poetry, fiction, nonfiction and graphic art by writers living in Kurdistan and around the world - writers who have often taken risks just by writing and publishing. After her presentation, there will be a Q & A session.
