This book club is for kids from 4th to 8th grade and their adult.
KIDS CAN CHANGE THE WORLD!
In our Social Justice Book Club, 4th to 8th graders and their parent/caregiver will read or listen to a book dealing with a social issue we are facing in the world today and engage in a guided discussion. Books provide windows to other cultures, perspectives, and experiences. Join us as we learn from each other and celebrate diversity and inclusiveness in our own community!
This month we are celebrating the life of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a.k.a. The Notorious RBG. You can choose to read or listen to any nonfiction book or even watch a movie about her life. We have many options available, both digitally and in hard copy from our libraries. You can choose from one of these Overdrive/Libby titles, a Hoopla title, or even watch the movie RBG on Hoopla and Kanopy! Or, if you prefer a printed book, we have multiple options in our catalog to choose from that you can then pick up using our Holds to Go contactless pickup service.
THIS MONTH ONLY! In celebration of her life, all participants will receive a commemorative I Dissent/RBG button!
