Join MCPL and the Office of Consumer Protection for a discussion on debt collection and what to look out for if a debt collector calls.

Many have lost jobs as a result of Covid-19. If you’re having trouble paying your bills, you’re not alone. This session will cover what you need to keep in mind if a debt collector calls.

This is a 4-part series taking place Tuesdays, 2-3 pm from September 15 - October 6.  The other topics include:

• Tuesday, September 22 @ 2 pm - Tips on Avoiding Scams Related to COVID-19
• Tuesday, September 29 @ 2 pm - Debt Collection during Covid-19; Know your Rights
• Tuesday, October 6 @ 2 pm - Using P2P Payment Systems (Cash App, Zelle) during Covid-19; Are they safe? 

This series is a collaboration between MCPL and Montgomery County’s Office of Consumer Protection.
