For kids in 4th-7th grades and your grownup!
KIDS CAN CHANGE THE WORLD
In our Social Justice Book Club, 4th-7th graders and their parent/caregiver will read or listen to a book dealing with a social issue we are facing in the world today.
For this discussion, we will talk about the book "One Crazy Summer", by Rita Williams Garcia. This book is about three sisters who travel to California and attend a day camp run by the Black Panthers. We will discuss the issue of racial equality and ways we, as adults, children, and families, can make a difference.
You can place the book on hold and pick it up with our Holds to Go contactless pickup, or read the book digitally via MCPL's Hoopla link. From our home page, click "Books and More", then E-books, and then Hoopla.
Registration is required. Zoom meeting information will be sent to you prior to the program's start time.
For security reasons, this program session will be locked five minutes after it begins. Please log in promptly.
