How are we going to find our way to bringing this country together? We have a polarized society, civil unrest and a deadly pandemic. Listen and ask questions of New York Times columnist and Bethesda resident, Thomas L. Friedman. He has been sheltering in place like most of us and is eager to be a neighbor through Zoom.
Thomas L. Friedman is an internationally renowned author, reporter, and, columnist—the recipient of three Pulitzer Prizes and the author of seven bestselling books. The Montgomery County Public Library has all of these bestsellers in its print and digital collections, including From Beirut to Jerusalem and The World is Flat.
Friedman began his career at the New York Times in 1981 and has had a variety of positions: general assignment financial reporter, Beirut Bureau Chief, Jerusalem Bureau Chief, Chief Diplomatic Correspondent, White House Correspondent, International Economics Correspondent, and Foreign Affairs columnist.
His wife, Ann is the founder of the museum Planet Word. Ann and Thomas Friedman have two daughters.
