What you need to bring with you to have your tax returns prepared:
- Social Security card (or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) letter) for yourself, your spouse, if filing jointly, and each person to be claimed as a dependent on your tax return.
- Photo IDs for yourself (and your spouse, if you are filing a joint return).
- A copy of last year’s tax return (2018), if you have it.
- W-2, 1099-MISC, or list of cash payments received for all jobs during the year (or any income forms).
- Year-end statements received for all other income, including bank interest, pensions, annuities, unemployment compensation, and social security.
- Child care provider’s name, address, and tax ID number.
- Records of all post-secondary education expenses (including books). Bring Form 1098-T.
- If you purchased health insurance through the marketplace (also known as Maryland Health Exchange), bring Form 1095-A.
- Student Loan Repayment (1098-E) – if applicable.
For faster refunds, your bank account number & routing number (found on a blank check) so that your refunds can be deposited directly into your account.
