"Les Misérables"

Join us for an afternoon of stories to celebrate Olney Theatre's production of "Les Misérables" with guest performers from Voices of Hope.

Join us for an enchanting, after-school Story Hour - a special partnership between Olney Theatre Center and the Montgomery County Public Libraries! Designed for families with young children from toddlers to 5th grade, this theatrical storytelling session brings stories to life in a lively and engaging way. Each time, the stories are thoughtfully chosen to align with the theme of the current Olney Theatre production, creating a magical connection between reading and live performance. This month, our story time, hosted by guest storytellers Voices of Hope, celebrates Les Misérables. Come enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of storytelling, imagination, and community!

This is a free family event appropriate for all ages, especially toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary schoolers.

Registration is NOT required.

Voices of Hope is a fully youth-run chorus using the power of music to inspire change, spread joy, and amplify the voices that need to be heard. They believe that art can be activism. Through music, they encourage young people to stand up, speak out, and sing loud about the issues that matter to them. 

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
