A MD STEM Festival event for middle & high school students

Enter our design challenge for the chance to win a STEM-themed prize!

Visit Davis Library between November 2nd and November 21st to pick up your challenge supply bag and entry form! Use the items in the bag to create a building of your choice. Drop off your entry anytime between December 5th-9th. Entries will be on display during our Design Challenge Showcase on December 10th for voting. For middle and high school students. Challenge bags are while supplies last.

Things to know about your design entry:

1. You're welcome to use any type of glue or tape to hold your structure together and paint, markers, or crayons to decorate. All other materials must come from the challenge supply bag.

2. You can design any building. Be creative and dream big.

3. Drop off your entry anytime between December 5th-9th to Davis Library to officially enter the challenge. No exceptions.

3. Entries will be on display during our Design Challenge Showcase on December 10th from 5-7pm. You do not need to be present. Details for drop-off and pick up will be included in your challenge bag.

The Maryland STEM Festival is a month-long celebration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics designed to advance STEM and STEAM education for children and teens that takes place every fall.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
