STEM at the Library: Cotton Ball Launchers

Join us for an afternoon of STEM where you'll learn to build a cotton ball launcher from household items!

Let's build cotton ball launchers! Join us for a fun afternoon of STEM, learning about energy and making a cotton ball launcher with household materials. We will also have some contests to see whose launcher can shoot the furthest and the most accurately. This hands-on program will provide children with the opportunity to use their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to achieve a result. 

We will provide all the materials for this program.

Ages 6 and up. Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
