Denim repair workshop
This hands-on workshop introduces participants to practical denim repair techniques, focusing on simple “touch‑ups” for common issues like holes, tears, and areas of wear. The session will begin with demonstrations of various denim repairs, with a focus on hand-sewing techniques. After the demo, participants will have dedicated time to practice their own repairs on their own denim item. Assistants will circulate throughout the room to offer guidance, answer questions, and provide one‑on‑one help as attendees work on their projects. This workshop is designed for all skill levels and aims to build confidence in basic denim mending while creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
Registration is required and will be limited to 30 participants.
Recommended for teens and adults.
Presented by Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection.
Sponsored by Friends of the Library Montgomery County.
