Teens, here's a dinosaur sized activity for you! Kick off the 2026 Montgomery County Public Library Summer Reading Challenge at the Wheaton Library with a fun passive craft tailored just for you.
And the best part is, you can earn SSL hours!
Get your hands dirty and make clay molds filled with dino bones! Then, the children can excavate these molds and discover the bones and fossils hiding inside them!
Let's come full circle in this multi-generational summer reading themed activity!

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
