Celebrate Read Across America at the library!

Montgomery County Public Libraries and the Jewish Council for the Aging (JCA) Heyman Interages Center are celebrating Read Across America Week in style with one-on-one reading opportunities and a meet-and-greet with beloved picture book character, Clifford the Big Red Dog.

Come dressed as your favorite literary character and visit with Clifford and/or stop in and read with us! You can read one-on-one with a trained JCA Interages volunteer OR you can pick a story to have read to you.

First 40 children to read with a volunteer will receive a FREE Clifford book to take home with them.

This program is geared toward children Preschool through third grade. Children can bring their own book or select one from the library. JCA volunteers are preselected and vetted and also trained by JCA staff in communication and intergenerational interactions.

No advanced registration or appointment needed. Participants can drop-in.

Can't make it on March 2nd? Clifford will be visiting:

Brigadier General Charles E. McGee Library on Wednesday, March 4th at 5pm.
