Summer is over and fall is here. That means colder weather, shorter days, and more colorful trees! The fall foliage certainly provides us with a beautiful array of colors but what makes the leaves turn from green to brown, red, and orange. Join Science Connections to explore the chemistry of colors and why plants change. Extract pigments from plants, explore color changing liquids, and experiment with leaf chromatography. Come jump into fall with some truly colorful chemistry.  Registration required.  Register online or call 240-773-9550 beginning 3 weeks before the event.  For children ages 6 - 10.  Generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library, Montgomery County.
