Representatives from Montgomery County’s Department of Environmental Protection will help answer your questions about how you can act on the climate and add eco-friendly practices to your life.

Climate Smart is a county initiative created to build a climate friendly future in Montgomery County. During Earth Month, April 2025, libraries around the County will be hosting informational CLIMATE CONVERSATION tabling events that foster community interaction and education on ways that we can do something BIG TOGETHER — one small choice at a time. On May first at White Oak Library, please join representatives from Montgomery County’s Office of Emergency Preparedness and Homeland Security who will help answer your questions about how you can prepare now to protect yourself and others from the impacts of climate-related disasters and take eco-friendly actions that help mitigate impacts and improve our natural environment.
