Join us for a kick-off party to celebrate the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge 'Color Our World' at Germantown Library! We will have Storytime, Magic, Balloon Twisting, Crafts and more! All ages welcome!
Drop-in and celebrate with us any time between 10:30am and 12:30pm.

Special Performance
- 10:30-11:00 Color Our World Family Storytime for children ages 0-6 years and their caregivers
- 11:00-12:00 Strolling Magic by Mike Rose
Arts and Crafts
- 10:30-12:30 Balloon Twisting creative art
- 10:30-12:30 Crafts - Accordion Fan, Suncatcher, Button Making, Windsock, Friendship Bracelets
- 11:30-12:30 Collaborative Art - contribute to a collaborative community art project that will be displayed in the library
Games and Puzzles
- 10:30-12:30 Artie Scavenger Hunt - help find Artie in these famous paintings from museums around the world
- 11:30-12:30 Puzzle Palooza - exploring wide variety of puzzles available to challenge your imagination and skill
- 11:30-12:30 Mario Kart - race with your friends and see who wins
During the event, library staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions about the Summer Reading Challenge, assist with sign-ups, and provide materials for those who register.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
Accommodation Requests
People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend.
