Adults can learn about bookbinding - and make their own book

Centuries ago, books were works of art created by craftsman. Learn about the ancient art of bookbinding from the Frederick Book Arts Center at our Adult Summer Reading event - and try it out yourself!

Instructors from the Frederick Book Arts Center will teach you about bookbinding! You can take home a book that you make.

Registration is required. As part of County Government, MCPL does not collect personal information other than for the purpose of providing programs or services.

Sign up for Adult Reading Challenge! Preregistration begins May 15. Log activities from June 14 – August 31, 2025.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend.
