Ms. Confino published her first book, For the Love of Friends, in August 2002, and hasn't stopped writing since. She's Up to No Good was published in 2022, followed by Don't Forget to Write (2023) and Behind Every Good Man (2024). Each of her books has received a 4+ rating on Goodreads (average number of ratings: 36K). Behind Every Good Man was selected as a Goodreads Choice Award Nominee for Readers' Favorite Historical Fiction (2024). How did she do it?
Ms. Confino, who wanted to be a writer ever since her uncle sent her a typewriter at age 8, is an English and journalism teacher with Montgomery County Public Schools and is currently on leave to pursue her writing career. She'll talk about how she got started, her writing craft/process, and how she draws on her family for inspiration, such as in Behind Every Good Man, which takes place in Montgomery County in the 1960s. When not writing, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons, relaxing on the beach, and dancing with Bruce Springsteen. Hope you can join us!
Q&A and light refreshments to follow. Copies of her books will be available for purchase/signing.
