A popular monthly Chevy Chase Library program returns!
Ove, an ill tempered isolated retiree who spends his days enforcing block association rules and visiting his wife's grave, has finally given up on life just as an unlikely friendship develops with his boisterous new neighbors. Based on the bestselling novel. Winner of Best European Comedy at the European Film Awards. The film runs one hour and 56 minutes. The book and related titles are available through our library catalog.
This is a public performance rights (PPR) showing and is recommended for viewers 18 and older.
Join us for screenings of a variety of programs from around the world. All movies have English subtitles. Programs will occur on the first Sunday of the month. Screenings begin at 2 pm, after a short introduction. Plan to arrive at 1:30 to meet other attendees, and so as not to miss the film introduction. Tea will be served after the showing for conversation to continue. We will choose films from the Kanopy program, which can be accessed with a library card.
Learn more about the film content available with your library card by visiting the Kanopy website.
