As part of the weekly Wellness Wednesdays series for your mind and body, please join us the last Wednesday of the month for an Authentic Expression workshop.
Authentic Expression is a workshop for exploring how we communicate through words, as well as movement, body language, and vocal tone. Through a range of exercises, you can expect to enhance your self-awareness, creativity, and communication skills, as well as form deeper and more meaningful connections with community members than everyday "small talk."
Rimi Basu is a vocalist, dancer, as well as business consultant with a focus on culture, diversity, and inclusion. She has founded two organizations: Shakti Arts and CultureStrategy. Rimi is passionate about holding spaces for expression, authentic connection, and creativity. Her nonprofit, Shakti Arts, offers a wide range of classes and workshops designed to help students upgrade skills in communication, storytelling, and the creative arts.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Montgomery County.
Please contact Rockville Memorial Library (240) 777-0140 at least five days prior to the program to request reasonable accommodations.
