Unified Mindfulness Class for Practicing Meditation in Daily Life
Please join us for meditation. The Unified Mindfulness (UM) system offers tailor-made meditation techniques for practice in the midst of daily life to build Concentration, Clarity, and Equanimity (CC&E, aka mindfulness).
The 8-week class comprises an introduction to each UM technique, guided meditations, and Q&As. The class is well suited for both beginners and experienced practitioners of meditation.
The instructor, Martin Spiering, PhD, is a UM-certified Level 2 Coach. He has practiced meditation for more than 10 years and worked as a researcher and educator for more than 15 years, including leading seminars and classes on meditation and philosophy of mind. UM is a secular mindfulness system developed by meditation teacher and research scientist Shinzen Young and is taught at many institutions. Learn more at https://unifiedmindfulness.com.
The class is usually taught while sitting in chairs, but you are welcome to bring your own cushion (and mat).
